Andrew E. Armstrong, CPA moved to Midland in 1974 after graduating from Texas Tech University with a BBA in accounting. His first position here was with HNG Oil Company. While there, he became a CPA, and received extensive training and invaluable experience in oil and gas accounting, tax and management matters. Andy held several positions at HNG including Revenue Accounting Manager and General and Property Accounting Manager.
Andy entered public practice with Tom Wurster in May, 1980. They formed the partnership of Wurster Armstrong in January, 1981. Later, in 1991, Mott Williamson joined the firm. Today, all three are shareholders in the firm of Wurster, Armstrong Williamson, P.C.
Andy provides "hands on" personal service to his clients. His services are always tailored to those which his clients feel are of value to them. Specialty areas include oil and gas accounting and taxation, investments, and business taxation.
While away from the office Andy enjoys the outdoors by golfing, hunting and fishing. He also has the special distinction of once having a golf handicap under 10. Sadly, he claims it didn't last long and spends a great deal of time trying to find the thought that carried him briefly to golfing glory.
Andy and his wife Kathy have two daughters, Andrea of Midland and Hollie of Redlands, Ca. They take great pride in them as well as their two granddaughters who live in Midland and another grandaughter in Redlands.
